Addressing Homelessness

A large share of chronic homelessness is driven by untreated addiction and severe mental illness. Oregon must confront this reality with solutions that work.

Oregon’s current system is fragmented. People bounce between shelters, ERs, jail, and the streets with no coordinated plan.

Compassion and accountability must go hand in hand. Oregon families deserve safe parks, walkable neighborhoods, and clean public spaces.

Housing alone doesn’t solve chronic homelessness, but it is essential for people on the edge.
